The medicine will show you the same thing over and over. That's not a failure of the medicine — that's just how it works when the pattern runs deep enough.
I was shown mine repeatedly. Iboga showed me the earth bound in chains and told me I needed to unchain myself to be part of something larger. San Pedro told me plainly that to get where I was going I would have to let go of literally everything that came before.
I heard it every time. I just couldn't do it yet.
This is one of the most insidious qualities of the scarcity pattern specifically — you can see the illusion clearly, you can feel the truth of abundance in ceremony, you can know intellectually that the universe provides exactly what is needed, and still be completely unable to release the thing that's keeping you financially safe. The knowing and the doing exist in completely separate parts of yourself, and ceremony can illuminate the gap without being able to close it.
Part of what makes this so complicated is the discernment piece. In an earlier piece I wrote about how ayahuasca's messages aren't always meant to be taken literally — she might show you quitting your job when she's really asking you to give yourself space to breathe, or show you leading ceremonies when she's asking you to step into your power in a different form. That's true, and discernment is essential. But sometimes the message is exactly what it looks like. For me, the medicine really was asking me to let go of everything I'd built. The work was figuring out which was which — and then actually doing it.
The pattern was so deeply ingrained that when it came up as a contract in my Past Life Regression training — when I was right there at the root of it, with the tools in my hands to release it — I consciously chose not to break it. I wasn't ready. Even knowing what I knew, even having seen what I'd seen, the grip was still that strong.
This is why I don't believe in spiritual bypassing. Seeing the pattern isn't the same as releasing it. Understanding where it came from isn't the same as being free of it. The gap between revelation and actual change is where most people live, sometimes for years, and there's no amount of ceremony that automatically closes it.
What actually closes it is a combination of things: going to the specific origin point — the lifetime where the decision was made, the contract that was written, the wound that the pattern has been protecting ever since — and doing the work of consciously releasing it there at the root. But equally important is getting genuinely clear on what you're releasing toward. Letting go of scarcity wasn't falling into the belief that I'd simply be taken care of. I still had to build. The shift was releasing what I'd built that wasn't in alignment, trusting that the space it left would allow me to build what I was actually here to offer.
That kind of clarity requires its own work. Manifestation is powerful, but it depends entirely on knowing what you actually want at the soul level — not what you think you should want, not what fear is chasing, but what's true when you get quiet enough to feel it. Future life progression is one of the most direct ways I know to access that. Sitting in a hypnotic state and moving forward into the life you're building, feeling it in your body, seeing it clearly enough to know whether it's authentic — that's not visualization as a motivation tool. That's a form of discernment. It's how you find out what you're actually building toward before you spend years building toward the wrong thing.
For me that trust and that clarity had to grow simultaneously. The gratitude for what I'd built before, the knowing that I could do it, the willingness to release it anyway — none of that came from ceremony alone. It came from going deep enough to meet the pattern at its root and clear enough to know what I was stepping into.
That's the work I do now. And it's the work I wish I'd had access to years earlier.
If you're sitting with a pattern the medicine keeps showing you and you're ready to get clear on what you're actually releasing toward, future life progression and past life regression work together for exactly this.
